Based in Washington, DC, Neil Alpert draws upon more than two decades of experience raising capital for nonprofits and business entities to serve as managing director at Potomac Management. In addition to his professional pursuits, Neil Alpert has served on the board of several organizations, including the Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF).

Since its inception in 2008, the AFFF has completed more than 100 infrastructure upgrade projects worth a combined $3.8 million at military facilities in the Southeastern United States. Its most recent project involved the renovation of the men’s bathroom at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The project, which was facilitated via a $8,646 donation from the AFFF and completed in conjunction with the USO of Northwest Florida, included painting, plumbing component restoration, and new flooring.

The AFFF completed several additional projects during summer 2020. In July, it donated $6,500 to USO of Central Florida to upgrade furnishings at USO centers in Tampa and Orlando. A heritage monument was installed the month prior at the Homestead Air Reserve Base, thanks in part to a donation of nearly $50,000 from AFFF in 2018. Similarly, AFFF donated $69,048 to Liberty Manor for Veterans to complete facility upgrades in 2019. That work was completed in June 2020.
